Mike Robbins
Mike leads MHA’s financial and regulatory advocacy efforts for Maryland’s hospitals with the Health Services Cost Review Commission, including continuing efforts to modernize Maryland’s all-payor Medicare waiver.  He also provides support to MHA’s government relations team on all financial matters during the state’s legislative session. Prior to coming to MHA in 2009, Mike served as the Vice President for Financial Policy at the West Virginia Hospital Association (WVHA).  

He is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has received the Follmer Bronze, Reeves Silver, Muncie Gold, and Medal of Honor awards from HFMA. 

Before joining the WVHA staff in 1995, Mike spent most of his career in hospital finance.  He served as the Vice President/CFO at Saint Francis Hospital, a 200-bed community hospital in Charleston, WV for three years, and before that was the CFO at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA from 1987-1992; Controller, at Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA from 1985-1987; and CFO at Glover Memorial Hospital in Needham, MA from 1982-1985.

Mike has his MBA from the Wharton Graduate School of Business, at the University of Pennsylvania, and his BA from Haverford College, in Haverford, PA.
