Katie Eckert, C.P.A., is the vice president of strategic analytics for the Maryland Hospital Association, leading the creation of actionable analytics to advance advocacy, care transformation, and improvement efforts for Maryland’s hospitals and health systems.
Katie joined MHA as vice president of health care payment in 2019 after serving as chief financial officer/post-acute services for Bon Secours Mercy Health where she led financial operations for the $3.4 billion, 19 hospital Atlantic Group. As CFO for post-acute services she oversaw $100 million in operating revenues for services at 13 agencies/facilities across five states and led expense control and other initiatives.
She previously served as Bon Secours’ director of operations/finance and director of budget and reimbursement, including a stint as interim CFO at Bon Secours Baltimore Health System. Katie holds an active certified public accountant license in Maryland and is a Health Care Financial Management Association fellow.
In addition, Katie is a board member of the Maryland chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and Charlestown Senior Living. She also serves on the finance committee of Health Care for the Homeless.
