    Birmingham, Alabama-based Encompass Health Corp. plans to build a 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Bowie, the company said Thursday. It’s slated to open for care in mid-2022. The facility would serve patients recovering from stroke and neurological disorders, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and orthopedic conditions, and more. It would offer physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as 24-hour nursing care to complement existing acute-care services nearby, according to Encompass.
