MHA members identified several key priorities to strengthen the hospital workforce, support access to care, and improve Maryland’s medical liability climate. MHA’s key 2024 legislative priorities for a better Maryland are:
Ensure access to care and improve hospital throughput for all Marylanders
Make certain all Marylanders have seamless access to quality health care by enhancing hospital throughput, eliminating barriers that hinder smooth transitions to the next level of care, and ensuring all Marylanders can reach the care they need when they need it.
Strengthen Maryland’s health care and hospital workforce
Recognize the invaluable role of health care professionals by fortifying Maryland’s health care and hospital workforce.
Protect Maryland’s liability climate and maintain the state as a viable place to practice medicine
Until comprehensive reform can be achieved, protect against further erosion in the state’s existing liability climate so Maryland remains a premiere location for medical practice.
