State-Level Advocacy
MHAPAC is MHA’s state-level political action committee (PAC), dedicated to supporting candidates who understand the critical role hospitals have in their communities. With support from members and partners, MHAPAC works to ensure a legislative and regulatory environment that allows hospitals to succeed in their mission of delivering exceptional patient care.
Federal Health Care Policy
At the federal level, MHA partners with the American Hospital Association Political Action Committee to ensure Maryland hospitals are represented in national policy discussions. AHAPAC is a bipartisan PAC that allows eligible hospital leaders to contribute to federal candidates who support policies benefiting hospitals and health systems.
AHAPAC works in partnership with state hospital associations, including MHA, to advance legislative priorities that affect hospitals nationwide.

Leaders are distinguished by their engagement in advocacy. Participation in MHA’s Political Action Committee (MHAPAC) supports elected officials who care about Maryland Hospital priorities and gives hospital leaders the opportunity to share their knowledge of these complex issues. Whether they’re a hospital executive, a practitioner, or a trustee, their voice should be heard in Annapolis and Washington, D.C. -

MHA is at the forefront of advocacy initiatives, championing our hospitals and allied professionals. We tackle intricate issues and policies with innovative and effective responses. -
Be Vocal
Hospital leaders and health care professionals’ voices matter! The ongoing national shift towards global budgeting, delivery system reform, and population health management could mold health policy for decades to come. Elected officials, health leaders, and policymakers are needed to promote positive change.
