Ahmed Elsayed-Ahmed

As vice president of Strategic Analytics for the Maryland Hospital Association, Ahmed Elsayed-Ahmed conceptualizes data analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvements to reduce the total cost of health care in Maryland.

Before joining MHA in 2019, Ahmed was director of Population Health and Payer Analytics at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He oversaw activities related to planning, defining, and managing large-scale strategic planning, reporting, and analytics in support of all population health and care transformation activities.

Ahmed also held positions at Johns Hopkins Medicine, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and KPMG. He worked in several positions related to the development of health care reform and transformation through population health and patient-centered medical homes.

Ahmed is a member of the Public Justice Center Board of Directors and has served on the Executive and Finance Committees. He is adjunct faculty at Notre Dame of Maryland University where he teaches health care finance and health care economics for the Nursing Master’s program.

He holds Master of Health Sciences in health finance and management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Public Health in health policy and management.
