Maryland at Forefront of Health Policy

May 03, 2021
Maryland continues to be a national leader in health care. Your success lowering the drivers of health care spending and promoting health equity are noticed—in Annapolis and in Washington, D.C.

Yet, this is a challenging time for health policy and politics.

That is why MHA is proud to be a leading sponsor and part of the convening panel for the inaugural Maryland State of Reform Health Policy Conference.

The virtual event takes place May 13 and focuses on the nexus of health care policy and politics. Conversations will center on federal and state policy, the future of our Maryland Model, health equity, maternal mortality, and other topics that matter to us and our organizations.

State of Reform, which is active in 18 other states, aims to convene health care leaders to discuss opportunities for collaboration, change, and improvement. They have assembled an excellent array of speakers and topics, including leaders from your hospitals and health systems.

On the heels of a very successful legislative session for MHA and the hospital field, we hope this event will offer an opportunity to take a deep dive on issues critical to the future of health care in Maryland.
