Gov. Wes Moore to Kick off MHA Annual Meeting

Maryland’s history-making governor, Wes Moore, plans to kick off our Annual Membership Meeting June 13.

We look forward to an energetic, passionate address about his priorities for health and health care and how they align with our shared mission. His insights and vision for the future of health care have been well received, and we welcome this opportunity to show the Governor all we are doing to support a Better Maryland.

An early indicator of Governor Moore’s commitment to a healthy Maryland was his inaugural address and his decision to tap a proven and talented leader as Maryland’s Health Secretary—Dr. Laura Herrera Scott.

We are fortunate to also have Dr. Herrera Scott participating in the Annual Meeting, where she’ll engage in a dynamic conversation with Andy Slavitt, former White House senior advisor for COVID-19 response. Their “Out of the Bubble” interview will touch on how national health care issues impact Maryland, progression of the Maryland Model, behavioral health, equity, access, and more.

The lineup also includes incredible insights on leadership from Ginny Clarke, former director of executive recruiting at Google, and an inspirational account from Nic Sheff, an author and recovering addict.

We look forward to seeing you all at the business meeting June 13 and the awards ceremony and reception the night before—both at the Four Seasons in Baltimore. Registration is still open, but space is limited. See you there!
