Medically Frail Maryland Residents Will See Hurdles Next Year to Keep Medicaid

Beginning in 2027, new federal Medicaid requirements will require many adults ages 19 to 64 to complete and report at least 80 hours per month of work, education, job training, or community service to maintain coverage. Medicaid enrollees will also undergo eligibility reviews every six months, with new federal guidance outlining who may qualify for exemptions from the work requirements.
